    After a traumatic, sometimes overwhelming year, with my mobility and general fitness in decline I discovered Laurence. What a revelation, over the last 3 months he has supported me with exercises, constant encouragement and good humour. He has improved my confidence and given his time and knowledge. I am currently undertaking a fund raising dance/exercise challenge supporting Cancer Research with his motivation and backing. I feel happier, more positive and look forward to feeling fitter and more mobile. Thank you Laurence. Dawn Carlile

    I contacted Laurence a few months ago to help my husband back into exercise after a stroke had robbed him of some of his capabilities and motivation.
    Laurence is a great motivator, consistently positive and encouraging – my husband does all he's asked, and has even mastered getting onto the WhatsApp sessions alone! (No mean feat, for a non-techy 68 year old – shows how much he values this.)
    He also seems to be regaining self-motivation, which is a real blessing – thanks, Laurence! Willingly lets me join in, as Strength & Conditioning for me as a runner, & tailors bits for each of us – so we get 2 for 1! 😊 Fab service 👍

    I decided to contact Laurence after a few years away from exercise and fitness. I needed to build my confidence and gently get back into a good safe routine .
    Laurence started me off gently, gradually building my strength and encouraging me along the way, tailoring the sessions to my likes/dislikes and helping to build back my love of exercise. Thanks to him I’m now back to exercising regularly

    Laurence has the ability to motivate the most reluctant keep fitter. Each session is stimulating and fun. I know I am getting better each week and becoming stronger after an injury.

    I find Laurence to be thoughtful , patient and very courteous . He adapts sessions to suit my requirements and even my moods. Having been quite nervous initially I would now describe him as a good friend and we have good chats about families and particularly football during our sessions. ( he can’t help supporting Forest )

    My elderly relative was having balance issues affecting their confidence to go to the gym. Laurence worked with them to improve their balance, and give them the motivation and confidence to achieve their goals. I would highly recommend him.

    Laurence puts you at ease from the start and is a very kind & caring person. He will adapt your session to suit how you are feeling on the day and I can highly recommend him to anyone who needs motivation to kick-start and maintain looking after their health & fitness. I never knew how important simple things like balance and core strength were to the over 50s and his help has been invaluable

    I just can't speak highly enough of Laurence as a personal trainer. He's helped me make real progress during the 18 months I've been with him. It took me ages to summon up courage to start, though – I felt too embarrassed about being unfit and out of shape. I'd say to anyone with similar concerns that Laurence puts you at ease from the start and makes you feel much more positive. He's really upbeat and makes sessions fun so the time flies by. Laurence always wants to know how I am at the start of each lesson and adapts things to help with whatever I need – so eg if my back is bothering me he'll include exercises which help. He's full of encouragement to get me 'doing my best' but never pushes me beyond what I'm comfortable with. I always look forward to training sessions which speaks volumes about how good Laurence is if he can make someone like me enjoy exercise!

    Laurence is a most inspirational and sensitive trainer. I’m 72 and while not having any particular ailments, I am benefitting greatly through weekly sessions with him. He is gradually building on my regime and, using only easily available and simple aids, is improving my balance, back and general muscular tone. He senses when it gets too strenuous and changes the focus of exercise. I highly recommend his enthusiastic and encouraging approach.
